

Lee W. Cornelius, 59, lost his courageous battle of brain cancer June 14, 2013. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, camper, mustang lover, a mason, and a friend to many. He was a big Steelers and University of Kentucky fan. He was retired from Kroger with over 30 years of service as well as 11 years with UFCW Local 227.
He is preceded in death by his father, Elmer Cornelius; his mother, Catherine Cornelius; and a brother, Jimmy Cornelius.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy; two sons, Richard Cornelius and Sean Cornelius (Dee); two stepsons, Tim Loveless and Josh Loveless; two grandchildren, Dylan Loveless and Kelsey Loveless; two sisters, Lynda Greenwell (Marty) of Battletown, Kentucky and Kathy Curtis (Brian); seven nieces and nephews; many aunts and uncles; special friends, George, Mitchell, Rusty and Pat; all of his friends at Glendale Campground and his dogs, Cassie and Tracy.
The family would like to thank the CBC group, Dr. Hodes, Kelly, Angie and all the nurses that cared for him at Baptist Health Louisville.
A celebration of Lee’s life will be conducted Tuesday at noon at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 1-8 on Monday at the funeral home.
