

He had served in the U. S. Air Force during World War II for four years, and had received several decorations including the bronze star. He had retired from the United States Postal Service in 1986 and later worked for the Kroger Company until 2011. Leroy was baptized at Centennial Olivet Baptist Church in Louisville and later united with the Harrods Creek Baptist Church in 2008 under the Reverend Kirk Bush. He loved to garden and watch sports, especially baseball and basketball.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, Leroy Gough, Jr., grandson, Leroy Gough III; sister-in-law, Sylvia Skiles and brother-in-law Frank Radford, along with numerous beloved cousins, nephews and friends.
Leroy's Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2012, at noon, at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park Mausoleum. A gathering of family and friends will be on Saturday from 10 a.m. - noon at the funeral home.
