Leslie Jean Stiles

Leslie Jean Stiles, 63, passed away on September 13, 2026. Born on February 3, 1963, Leslie was the daughter of the late Richard L. Stiles and Doris (Parks) Stiles. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Dorothy “Janie” and Lee O’Bryant. Leslie resided in Louisville, Kentucky.

Leslie is survived by her beloved sister, Shelly Jones (Robert Jr.); nephew, Robert Jones III (Meagan); niece, Katie Wheet (Jacob); great nieces and nephews, Palmer, Georgia, Morgan and soon to be Lilly. She is also survived by her uncle, David Parks, Sr. (Charlene); aunt, Jackie Hughes; cousins David Parks, Jr. (Jenny), Judie Parks, Stacey Parks (Eric) and their children who referred to her lovingly as Aunt Leslie.

A 1981 graduate of Doss High School, Leslie went on to attend Western Kentucky University, where she met her best friend, Carolyn Fusting. Her professional life did not define her, however, the people that she met and the friendships that she made along the way lasted a lifetime. She was blessed to find her final work family at Borders & Borders.

Leslie’s legacy is her love of people and bringing joy to everyone around her. She was known for making others feel seen by sharing a smile, a hug, a compliment to a stranger and a listening ear. To her friends, she was selfless and fiercely loyal. She gave her time and attention freely, listening without judgment and offering comfort when it was needed most. At times, she had a stubborn and impatient streak, but that is what made her the woman we loved so dearly. Leslie loved her family most of all. She was her baby sister's biggest fan, and some would say, Shelly was her favorite. Being Robert and Katie's Aunt was her biggest accomplishment until, of course, they had children. Palmer, Georgia and Morgan became her pride and joy and she was so excited to meet and spoil Baby Lilly.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2026. The Service will begin at 3:00 pm with visitation from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home (4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218).
