Lewis S. Stevens Sr. “Peepaw”, 91, formerly of Harrods Creek, KY, passed away December 10, 2015 at his home. He was a retired Air Force technical sergeant and a veteran of WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He was the owner of Stevens Painting Service, a member of Harrods Creek Baptist Church, Hudson River Lodge 607 F & AM and a KY Colonel.
He was preceded in death by his step-daughter, Deborah M. Harrell; and sister, Ann R. Baker.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Mary “Ethel” Stevens; son, Lewis S. Stevens Jr. (Martha “Jeri); step-son, Joseph Pierce (Gail); 4 grandchildren, Kim Cardwell, Sean Flink (Angela), Lewis Stevens III (Michelle) and Tanya Tucker (Brian); 10 great-grandchildren; and friends and neighbors.
A celebration of life service will be held Monday, December 14, 2015 at 12 pm at Evergreen Dignity Chapel. Visitation will be Saturday and Sunday from 2 pm-8 pm at the funeral home. Entombment will be at Evergreen Cemetery.
