Lexine Romans

Lexine Romans, 85, of Louisville, passed away Thursday, October 14, 2021. She was born on June 5, 1936, to Dexter & Opha Dixon. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend; and had a love of music, especially anything by Elvis Presley. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 40 years (at the time of his passing), Charles Romans, and grandson Chad Mobley. Lexine and Charles were avid U of L fans and were season tickets holders for football and basketball. She enjoyed sipping a cocktail on the patio while watching the ocean at her condo at Daytona Beach or the cabin on Nolin Lake. Most weekends were spent with family and friends crowding in for a place to sleep and eat. Lexine will be remembered as a classy, sassy, and spunky lady with a great sense of humor and a quick wit. She will be dearly missed by her daughter Sharon Brokaw (Paul), grandson Josh Mobley, great-granddaughter Kensie Mobley, step-granddaughter Rachel Kieltyk (Joseph) their daughter River, sister Bea Rowe; plus many loving extended family and friends that will mourn her passing. Visitation Tuesday, October 19, 2021 from 2-8pm at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home, 8519 Preston Hwy. Funeral Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 10am in the Arch L. Heady & Son Chapel with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
