Lillian Ebert, 96, of Louisville, entered into rest on Wednesday, May 2, 2012, at her residence. She was a member of the German-American Club, SAWS, and the Derby City Walkers. She had a great love of German music and dancing as well as gardening. She had retired from the old Commonwealth Insurance Company.
Mrs. Ebert was preceded in death by her husband, Karl Ebert, and son, James Ebert.
She is survived by a daughter, Sylvia Ebert; two sons, Carl A. and John D. Ebert; a sister, Elsie M. Egger; a brother, Edgar Steinrock; three grandchildren, Mark and Steven Ebert and Susan Spayd; and five great-grandchildren.
Her funeral mass will be on Monday at 10am at the St. Athanasius Catholic Church, 5915 Outer Loop, with entombment following in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2pm until 7pm at the Arch L. Heady Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 8519 Preston Highway.
