Lillian was a Telephone Pioneer, having worked and retired from Southern Bell and South Central Bell. She was a long time member of the St. Matthews United Church of Christ and Immanuel United Church of Christ. Lillian also volunteered for many organizations like the Wayside Christian Mission and Meals on Wheels.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Linton Green. Survivors include her son, Phillip Green (Cindy) and her granddaughter, Amy Green Burkhead.
Lillian’s burial was on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 at Evergreen Cemetery. A celebration of her life was held at the Immanuel United Church of Christ on Sunday, February 6th.
