WHITMAN, LILLIE IRENE, 91, formerly of Louisville passed from this life on Sunday September 23, 2012 at the Helmwood Health Care in Elizabethtown, KY. She was the former Irene Davenport a native or Canmer, KY, and a retired employee of Colgate Palmolive Co. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl L. Whitman Sr. She is survived by a son, Carl L. Whitman Jr. (Carol); a daughter, Sherrie Kay Whitman; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral service for Mrs. Whitman will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the Southern Chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd., with burial to follow in the Knoxs Creek Cemetery in Linwood, KY.
