Linda Carol Fortney, 77, was born in Louisville, KY to the late Thomas and Helen (Hibbs) Smith on August 5, 1945, and passed away on Monday May 29, 2023.She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years,Walter Scott Fortney; a son, Wayne Jackson; and a granddaughter, Erin Dobbs. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Stacy Fortney; sons, Shawn Staab and Anthony Fortney; 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. A memorial service for Linda will be held at 5 pm on Thursday June 1, 2023 in the Southern Chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. Visitation will be from 3 pm until the time of service at 5pm.
