Lisa Hood

Lisa was born on December 23, 1958, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Fredrick Childs and Norma Jean Childs.

Lisa's legacy lives on through her children, Chad Hood (Emily), Kristina Elias, and Kyle Hood, as well as the father of her children, Mark Young. Her playful spirit will forever echo in the laughter of her grandchildren, Peyton Hood, Caleb Hood, Nolan Hood, and Avery Elias. Lisa's siblings, Leslie VanArsdale, Lynn Rogers (Lee), Mark Childs, and Clay Childs, will forever hold their sister in loving memory, as well her nieces Brittany Price (Patrick), Carrie Kinberger (Jody), and her nephew Freddy Childs.

Lisa's professional life was marked by over 40 years in the serving industry, where she touched countless lives with her warmth and personality. Beyond her work, Lisa's joy was found in the simple pleasures of life. A Green Bay Packers fan, she loved the excitement of a football game. She found peacefulness in the Sandia Mountains and in the calm of the beach. Lisa's love for spending time with her children, swimming, reading, photography, and her endearingly, sneaky way of playing UNO left indelible impressions on all who knew her.

Her interests ranged from capturing moments in time with her camera to the enjoyment of a good book, a cold beer, or playful banter over board games. Whether it was getting mani-pedis or traveling to new places, she embraced life's experiences with open arms. Known for her fun-loving, spicy nature, and a heart that cared for those around her, Lisa's presence was a source of joy and comfort.

In her ever-quirky manner, Lisa left a trail of joy, humor, and a bit of mischief wherever she went— with her signature farewell, "Love U More," ensuring that all who crossed her path felt her love. Her vibrant spirit will be missed by all who knew her.

A visitation for Lisa will be held Tuesday, March 11, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven
