Lou Ann Shuffitt, 97, a native of Smithville, TN. was born on August 29, 1919 to the late Elijah Thomas and Sussie (Carr) Saylors, and passed from this life on February 3, 2017. She was a member of Gardiner Lane Church Of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Thomas Shuffitt. Left to cherish her memory is her sons, Milton, Charles Phillip and Steve Shuffitt; a daughter Sue Higdon; 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren. A service to celebrate Mrs. Shuffitt’s life will be held at 10 am Tuesday in the Southern Chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. with interment to follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
