Lucille "Lucy" Humphrey

Lucy was a selfless and kind woman who lived a very simple and quiet life. She was a talented crocheter and found true joy in creating handmade blankets for her loved ones. She also loved going to Mike Linnig’s and listening to country music, especially Conway Twitty.

Lucy treasured the moments she shared with family and friends. Lucy will be deeply missed, but her kindness, warmth, and love will live on in the hearts of those she touched.

Along with her parents, Lucy is preceded in death by her brother, Robert Holsclaw, Jr.; her special friend, Jim “Smiley” Ratterman; and two grandchildren, Caitlyn and Robert II.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Robert Wayne Tipton; grandchildren, Meghan Tipton (Mason), Colin Tipton (Becca), and Leslie Tipton; great-grandchildren, Scarlett, Caitlyn, Obsidian, and Winry; Siblings, Donald Holsclaw, Georgia Smith (Charles), Sharon Fries (William), and Martha Tolbert; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

A visitation for Lucy will be held at Evergreen Funeral Home in Louisville, Kentucky on Friday, September 12, 2025 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm.

Lucille Humphrey will be laid to rest in Evergreen Cemetery in Louisville, Kentucky.
