Luna O. Hoskinson

Luna Owen Hoskinson, 95, of Louisville, passed away on Monday, January 7, 2019.

She was a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church. She retired from Ford Motor Company after 20 years. Since retiring she did volunteer work for The Dream Factory, Dare to Care and Crusade for Children. She received a Volunteer of the year award from both the Dream Factory and Dare to Care. She was awarded the Mayor’s Good neighbor award, she is also a Kentucky Colonel.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Robert Hoskinson.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Robert G. Hoskinson, Bonnie (Mike) Reichenbach, and Terri Mulford; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great grandchildren.

The Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 12-8pm at Evergreen Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 12pm in the Evergreen Dignity Memorial Chapel.

Memorial Donations in Luna’s name can be made to Down Syndrome of Louisville or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

My precious Aunt Luna has always been a very positive influence in my life. I miss her already. She was always so strong when I needed a friend. Bonnie, Gary and Terri have taken such good care of her and I'm very proud of them. Many prayers are going forth for her family. Love you, Aunt Luna.

I remember her hosting Many family events over the years. One of my favorite was my baby shower when I was having Maria. Oh how she loved her family!
