Luther Starkey, a loving husband and devoted father, and teacher at Jeffersontown High School passed away peacefully on May 1st 2025, in Louisville, Kentucky. Luther will be deeply missed by his Wife Sheila Starkey , son, Joshua; his daughter, Jennifer; and his stepsons, Eric and Jake. His memory will also be cherished by his beloved grandchildren, Susan, Michael, Tori, and Joseph; great-grandchild Ellie.
Luther's warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew him. He was a dedicated family man who always put the needs of his loved ones first. His gentle spirit, unwavering support, and loving nature created a home filled with happiness and security. He will be remembered for his generous heart, his ready smile, and the unconditional love he shared with his family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Luther's memory may be made to St. Jude and parkinson's charity.
visitation for Luther will be held Thursday, May 8, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218. A funeral mass will occur Friday, May 9, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 5505 Bardstown Rd., Louisville, KY 40291.
