Margaret E Earls

October 4, 1928 – March 26, 2026

Margaret “Dolly” E. Earls, 97, of Louisville, passed away March 26, 2026. She was the daughter of the late William and Hattie Hill.

Margaret worked for AT&T as a long-distance switchboard operator and eventually retired from JCPS as the receptionist with the Board of Education. She enjoyed listening to gospel music, reading books about prophecy, sewing, and traveling to visit family. Margaret was a devoted member of Dixie Valley Church of God.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, George Earls; daughter-in-law, Cathy; son-in-law, George; and granddaughter, Amber.

She is survived by her children; Bill (Jane) Earls and Debbie Glassner; grandchildren, Brittney (Jerry) Sampson, Michael (Kristin) Earls, and Somer (Steve) Dowell; great-grandchildren, Matthew, Hunter, and Avery; many nieces and nephews who called her “Aunt Dolly”; and sisters-in-law Shirley Vento and Doris Earls.

Funeral services will be at 12pm, Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd. Louisville, KY 40218 with entombment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Visitation will be 10am – 12pm, Saturday, April 4, 2026, at the funeral home.
