

Mrs. Margaret D. Edlin, of Louisville, entered into eternal rest on January 18, 2022. The widow of James W. Edlin, she was a beloved Mother, Sister, Aunt and Grammie to her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was born January 18, 1925 to the late Bessie Hayes Crenshaw and Herbert DeVore in Knob Lick, KY. She is survived by sisters Dorann Crenshaw, Ora Lee Honeycutt, Edna Tidwell, and Katie Hagen. She was predeceased by brothers, James, Charles, Clay and Allie Crenshaw and sisters Lillie Casteel and Marcelle Shaw.
Margaret and James were married 73 years before his passing in February, 2018. They spent their early years traveling from post to post with the US Army. They returned to settle down in Louisville where daughters Brenda and Vicki were born.
They traveled thousands of miles over the years camping in cars, tents and motor homes, going from coast to coast and all points in North America. They were very active in many square dancing clubs, attending dances everywhere from campgrounds to national convention halls.
Margaret especially cherished her family. She is survived by daughters, Brenda L. Rollins of Cape Coral, FL and Vicki D. Willard of Louisville, Granddaughter, April Ayers (Dwayne), Grandson Eric Willard, Great-grandchildren Zachory Willard (Christina), Allyson Raines (Chris), Danielle Thames (Kyle), Great-great grandchildren Abbigail and Cameron Raines, Kolton Thames and Charlotte Willard. She was preceded in death by great-grandson Matthew Willard.
Funeral services will be at 10 am, Saturday, January 29, at Evergreen Funeral Home with internment in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8pm Friday.
