

He was a man of honor and integrity.
Left to carry on his memory is his beloved wife of 36 years, Bette Orthober Strange.
Family was always important to him. He was the oldest sibling of four sisters, Linda Nally and her late husband Jim, Lucy Smith (Francis), Mary Carolyn Edelen, and Suzanne Mattingly (Eugene); four brothers, Larry Strange (Frances Lee), Jerome Strange and his late wife Lucinda and Kendrick Strange (Mary); along with 23 nieces and nephews; 37 great-nieces and nephews; and two great-great-nieces. He was and always will be their "Buddy." His brother, Joe Robert Strange has preceded him in death.
Marion served our country in the U.S. Air Force and is a retiree of Jim Beam Distillery. He loved the game of golf and was an avid player. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus since 1956, a member of the Louisville Sportsman Club and the American Legion Highland Post.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Saturday at his parish, St. Martin of Tours, 639 S. Shelby St., with interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Friday and 8:30-9:30 a.m. Saturday at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road.
