Mark Ellis Cantrell, 64, of Louisville was born on December 7, 1956 in Louisville and passed away on Saturday October 23, 2021. Mark was employed as a warehouseman for the Kroger Co., was a member of Local 89, and was a Christian by faith. Mark was an avid fan of classic cars and dragsters, and he loved all animals, especially his dogs. He was preceded in death by his mother, Anita Birkhead Cantrell and a sister, Linda Thompson. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Ann Cantrell; a daughter, Angela Chester (Gerald); step children, Rick Langley and Mindy Miller (Kris); his father Roy E. Cantrell, Sr.; a brother, Bruce Cantrell; an uncle Bruce Birkhead; a brother in-law, Steve Thompson; his best friend, Willie Willhite; grandchildren, Gaige and Hailey Chester and Matthew and Kristen Miller; and a host of many friends and extended family. Mark was a good friend to all. Funeral service for Mark will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday in the Southern Chapel of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd. with cremation to follow. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 3-8 pm.
