Martha M. Bielefeld, 95, passed away November 15, 2013 at Episcopal Church Home in Louisville Kentucky. She was born January 4, 1918 in Louisville. Ms. Bielefeld attended college in Iowa where she received a Bachelor in Arts; she later became the house mother for the Methodist Orphans Home in Washington State. She was a longtime residence of Baptist Towers before moving to the Episcopal Church Home.
She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Luella Bielefeld, her sisters, Mary Watts and Ruth Knox, two brothers, Paul and David Bielefeld.
She is survived by nieces, Paula Fraley, Joyce Young and Janet Knox, a nephew, Gary Bielefeld and many great nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Martha’s life will be conducted Thursday, November 21, 2013 at 12:00 pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road with a burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of service at noon on Thursday at the funeral home.
