Martha Jean (Krodel) Driskell

She was a beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt. She was born to the late George Walter Krodel and Mary Alice Mears Krodel. She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Earl Driskell, Jr., 3 sisters, Harriet Elizabeth Nitler, Mary Louise Stone, Elsie K Middleton and her brother, George Walter Krodel. She is survived by her 3 sons; Eddie Driskell (Jamie), Todd Driskell (Sally) and Steven Driskell, 2 nieces, 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Martha dedicated her life to her family. She was a devoted wife for 53 years and the most incredible mom to her three sons.

She graduated from Norton Memorial Infirmary School of Nursing in 1957 and had a nursing career that spanned more than 4 decades.

Martha was a member of Audubon Baptist Church. She was an avid gardener with two green thumbs. She relished decorating. Her creative decorations for holidays and seasons were inspiring. She also loved singing in her church choir and spending time with family. She will be remembered for her kind heart, unwavering generosity, sharp sense of humor, advocating for others and spunky attitude.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 8, 2024 from 11-3PM with a Celebration of Martha's life to begin at 3pm. All services will take place at Audubon Baptist Church 1046 Hess Lane, Louisville, Kentucky 40217.

Private burial will take place within Resthaven Memorial Park, 4400 Bardstown Rd. Louisville, Kentucky 40218.
