Martha Louise France

October 22, 1950January 6, 2021

Our mother, Martha Louise France, January 6, 2021 began her journey with the Angels. Our mom always encouraged us to let nothing hold us back, she dared us to be confident and true to ourselves, she guided us and loved us no matter where our dreams lead us. Our mom was Fearless. She was a beautiful-spirited woman who made the world stronger and better. Our mom was the cornerstone of our whole lives being, every great thing we accomplish is because she loved us. She was a retired PCA with Nortons Hospital. She was preceded in rest by her son, Thomas Edward Dickerson; her parents, Fred Rogers and Hattie Wilson; and her brother, Walter France; and a sister, Ophelia Durham. Ms. France is survived by three daughters, Savella Gail Hardin (Maurice), Elizabeth Ann Alfaro (Steven), and Michelle Renee Stewart; and eight grandchildren, Brittany Oldham, Breauna Oldham, Giovonni Alfaro, Natalia Alfaro, Christopher Stewart, Leilani Stewart, Maurice Hardin Jr, and Edward Wright; a great-grandchild, Mosi Francis; two sisters, Lula Hackley and Susie Thompson; and a host of nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be on Wednesday, January 13th, at 2pm at the Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Highway, with cremation to follow. Visitation will be from 12 noon until 2pm. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the Alzheimer's Foundation.

To my dear Aunt Martha I'm sorry that I didn't get to see you go away properly. I wish I could be there with the rest of the family to see you go through those heavenly gates or to take my last picture of you. Can you tell my dad hello for me and that I love and miss him so much.
