Martha L. Lewis

She was born April 12, 1926 in Uniontown, KY, the daughter of Emory Theophilus and Ellen Magdalene Thomas. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William C. Lewis, Jr.; one sister and five brothers.

Martha’s greatest loves were her faith and her family. She was a member of St. John Paul II Catholic Church and was very active in the Day Spring Community. She had worked as a Registered Nurse in Louisville for over 50 years, always caring for her patients with kindness and love.

Survivors include her six children, William C. Lewis, III (Marion), Stephen T. Lewis (Theresa), Theresa Craig (Patrick), Cynthia E. Razavi, Mary Ann Lewis and Susan Gunn; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother and four sisters.

A mass to celebrate Martha’s life will be conducted at 12:00 PM on Thursday, May 11, 2017 at St. John Paul II Catholic Church, 3042 Hikes Lane. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM on Wednesday at Arch L. Heady & Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Rd.
