Martha Jane Robinson, 64, of Louisville, passed away January 15, 2012 at Oaklawn Rehabilitation center. She was born on January 22, 1947 to the late Leslie Akin and Estelle Neagle. She was a retired General Electric employee with over 30 years of service as well as a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Greensburg, Kentucky. She attended Highview Baptist Church.
In addition to her parent s she is preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her loving husband, William R. Robinson; son, Kevin Akin; step children, Elaine Hayes, Charles Robinson and William Robinson; seven grandchildren, Christopher Akin, Brandon Akin, Andrew Robinson, Krysta Borden, Allison Robinson, Lindsay Hayes and Kenny Robinson; five great-grandchildren; and brothers and sisters, Herman Akin, Wallace Akin, Buford Akin and Maedell Shirley.
A celebration of her life will be conducted Thursday January 19, 2012 at 10 am at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2-8 on Wednesday at the funeral home.
