I met Martin through long run sportsmen’s club and when I first came to the club he was always talkative and opened arms. He loved the club and all the guys and loved helping the kids at any event he went to. He will be missed!

Sorry to hear the Stivers family has lost a loved one. I knew Martin as a member of the Long Run Sportsman’s Club and enjoyed many conversations with him over the years. He had a wealth of knowledge about Dale Hollow Lake and was always gracious in his sharing it. Wishing you the best. I can see he has a very large family who can now support each other during this time of grieving.

Martin was a most special friend of mine, as we were both avid fishermen and great tall tale tellers. I was greatly impressed with his undying work in getting the younger generation involved in fishing, which I am shure kept most, if not all of them from drugs and criminal activity.

To say that I will miss swapping fishing lies with him is only part of the story, I will miss everything that I knew as Martin.

Please tell Pat that I am sorry that I won't be able to attend the service at the church.
