Marvin was a U. S. Army veteran and Kentucky Colonel. He retired from Ford Motor Company after 30 years of service.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Tyler Bowlds.
Marvin is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Patricia Bowlds; children, Connie Woods (Widow), Kathie Bundy (Jim), Marvin Bowlds Jr. (Annette), Karin Davis (Harold) and Timothy Bowlds; sister, Mary Ann Mills, 15 beautiful grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren, with one blessing on the way.
A service honoring the life of Marvin will be 2 p.m. on Monday at Evergreen Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1-8 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home and will resume Monday at 11 a.m. until the funeral time.
