

He was the retired president of Pinaire Productions Inc. and the past vice president of Pinaire Lithographing Corp. Marvin was a member of the Prospect Christian Church and had served his church as a Deacon and Chairman of the Board. He was a former member of the Louisville Jaycees, was a participant in the painting of the Belle of Louisville and was a member of the Louisville Power and Sail Squadron serving as their Chaplin and Port Captain. Marvin was the captain of his own boat for over 40 years and enjoyed boating on the Ohio River. In his youth he was a winning race car driver being sponsored by Thurston-Cook Ford. In the world of commercial printing, Marvin was known as one of the best leading salesmen. Those who knew him knew that he was a raconteur extraordinaire.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin E. and Ada Brown Pinaire Sr.; and a brother, Edward Pinaire.
He is survived by his loving wife, Toni Pinaire; a son, Marvin E. Pinaire III; daughters, Marla Lynn Pinaire and Lauren Joan Mitchell; stepdaughters, Camille Krieger and Megan Northrop; grandchildren, Madeleine Wagner, Nicholas and Douglas Mitchell, Alya Kovalenko, Caiden, Kelbie and Kinsey Krieger, Natalie, Tate and Colton Northrop; a sister, Joan Pinaire Harrison; two nieces; two great-nieces; and one great-great niece.
His Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 17, 2010 at noon at the Prospect Christian Church, 7203 Covered Bridge Road. Visitation will be at his church on Friday from 11 a.m.-noon. Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, has been entrusted with Mr. Pinaire's services. Floral deliveries need to be made between 8:30 a.m. to noon on Friday at his church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Kentucky Humane Society.
