Along the way Mary was president of R.W. Barito & Associates, specializing in vacuum insulation technology; traveled to many countries on several continents as well as camping throughout the US with her family of 9 in a big green tent; was an avid sports fan attending myriad baseball, softball and football games, cross country meets, and any other sport or activity her children or grandchildren were involved in. She was an accomplished seamstress and was regularly drafted into service to fashion costumes for school plays, Halloween, home decorations, family clothes, etc. She studied creative writing at JCC. She loved plants and flowers. She was never too busy to listen. Music was always alive in the Barito house. Songs were her delight and when her Irish eyes were smiling, sure they'd steal your heart away.
