Mary worked as a clerical assistant for Louisville Cement Company/Coplay Cement for over 30 years in the accounts payable department. She married Arthur Greene in 1990, and they spent several years touring the U.S. in their RV. Mary loved tending her heirloom flower gardens, watching classic movies, reading, and caring for her dog.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Esther Heckman, her husband, Arthur C. Greene, a brother, Fred Heckman and a son-in-law, Thomas Ball.
She is survived by her daughter, Valerie Ball, by her nephews Tim Heckman, Mark (Stacy) Heckman, and niece Michelle (Dave) Broyles, great-nephews Brian (Elyse) Heckman, Tyler Childress, Trevor Childress, Trenton Heckman and great-niece Lindsay Heckman, and her devoted dog, Daisy the Beagle.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2025 from 12-2PM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Rd. Louisville KY 40218, with a funeral starting at 2PM in the funeral home chapel. Entombment will immediately follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to the Ky Humane Society.
