She was born October 2, 1917 in Parkersburg, WV to the late Charles and Hazel Wharton Turner. She was a homemaker, a loving mother and grandmother, and absolutely loved spending every moment with her children and grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her son, David Hunter (Beverly); and her daughter, Patricia Young (Terry).
Mary is survived by her sons, Jim Hunter (Karen), and Dan Hunter (Rubi); 10 grandchildren, Mark, Steve, James II, Chad, Casey, Krista, Eric, Todd, Tara, and Angela. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will be held at the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home chapel located at 4400 Bardstown Road on Saturday at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to service time at 2:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Memorial Contributions may be made in Mary's name to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
