Mary “Rita” Lee, 88, of Louisville, was born December 8, 1928 and passed away April 27, 2017. She was a retired accounting clerk, a longtime member of Walnut Street Baptist Church, and a Kentucky Colonel. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ammie Lee Webb. Survivors include her two daughters, Penny Lee Waits and Melody Lee Burke(Dan); three grandsons, Thomas Glenn Ward Jr., John Phillip “J.P.” Waits, and Ryan Daniel Burke; and one great-grandson, John Willis Waits. Funeral service will be 2pm Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Evergreen Funeral Home with entombment in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 12pm-2pm Saturday. Memorial contributions can be made to Alzheimer’s Association.
