Mary J. Miles

She was born January 9, 1929 in Erie, PA, the daughter of Peter and Ethel Burger Raun. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William A. Miles; two sisters, Grace Stafford and Marjorie Tanner; and two brothers, Donald and Jack Raun.

In addition to being a wife and mother, Mary also worked in retail for a number of years with K-Mart and Woolworth. She was of the Methodist faith and also a member of The Order of the Eastern Star.

She leaves her children to cherish her memory, two sons, William A. Miles and wife Vickie and David L. Miles; a daughter, Jane M. Ellis and husband John; five grandchildren, Cynthia J. Brown, William R. Miles, Joseph Allen Miles, Tiffany D. Anderson and Lauren M. Ellis; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Gerry Raun; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2011 in the Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel. Entombment will be in Resthaven Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 4 - 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
