Hester was born in Holy Cross, KY on October 2, 1919. She was a member of St. Rita's Church for 65 years and a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, J.T. Mills; grandson, Josh Mills, six sisters and three brothers.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Pat Simmon (Joe), Jerry and Jack Mills (Myra), Loretta Anderson (John), Rita Dickerson (Mike) and Doug, Bob and Greg Mills (Nicki); 24 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and her sister, Betty Lyon.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Friday at Evergreen Funeral Home with interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1-8 p.m. Thursday and after 10 a.m. Friday until the time of the service. A memorial Mass will be held at a later date.
