Mary Louise Murphy, of Louisville passed away January 12, 2011 at Friendship Manor. She was born on September 5, 1924 to the late Clarence and Hazel Kirk Murphy. She was a homemaker, lifelong farmer and an avid quilter.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Howard Murphy; a sister, Ann Roby; a brother, Billy Murphy and a precious great-grandchild.
She is survived by her son, David Wayne (Mary Rachel) Murphy; a sister, Laura Barnes; a brother, Clarence Murphy Jr.; two grandchildren, Lauren Murphy (Eric) Kunce and Brandon (Jill) Murphy and four great-granddaughters.
A celebration of her life will be conducted Saturday, January 15, 2011 at 2 pm at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road with private burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 11-2 Saturday at the funeral home.
