In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Chester W. Phillips and a brother James Karnes.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Angel Phillips Uphaus; two granddaughters, Tracy M. Uphaus and Jennifer L. Uphaus; and two sisters, Dorothy Curry and Emily Cundiff.
A celebration of her life will be conducted Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Noon at Summit Heights United Methodist Church, 7400 Outer Loop, Louisville, Kentucky 40228 with entombment in Resthaven Memorial Park Mausoleum. Visitation will be from 3-8 on Friday at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road.
