Mary F. Puckett

Mary F. Puckett, 97, passed away on August 7, 2013 at 10:15 a.m. She was born September 7, 1915 in Cumberland Co., KY to Thomas W. Cloyd and Louvenia S. Collins Cloyd. She had two older brothers; and two older sisters. All now deceased. She was a member of Watterson Trail Church of Christ and has been a life- long Church of Christ member.

She met W. F. Davis as a child and when he returned from electrical training school in Chicago in 1935, they planned their lives, married in 1937 and moved to Louisville to live the remainder of their lives here until his death in 1987. Following the death of Mr. Davis, she married Horace Puckett in 1989 and they lived together until his death in 2009. She is survived by a son, Richard N. Davis; a step-daughter, Wanda Puckett Werner; one granddaughter, Julie A. Raymond; great-grandson, Thomas W. Raymond; and great-granddaughter, Anna L. Raymond. The funeral services will be at the O. D. White & Sons Funeral Home, 2727 So. Third Street at 2 p.m. on Saturday with interment at the Evergreen Funeral Cemetery. Visitation will be held 12-2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
