Mary Doris Robinson

MARY DORIS ROBINSON, 95,of Louisville, KY, returned to her Heavenly Father on Thursday, July 7, 2016, at the Forum at Brookside. She was born in Bloomington, Indiana on March 11, 1921 to Austin and Della Richardson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Cedric (Ked) Robison, her sister, Betty Poolitsan Watson, her sister-in-law, Betty Richardson, and two nephews, Ronald and Donald Wright, all of whom she cherished. Another cherished nephew, Peter Poolitsan, joined her in Heaven on July 8, 2016.

She is survived by her brother, Bill Richardson of Bloomington, IN., her son, Dennis Robinson of Bardstown, KY., her daughter, Pamela McCarty, three grandchildren, Jennifer Schueler (Jon), Peter Robinson and Sean McCarty, two great-grandchildren, Katie and Christopher Schueler, nieces and nephews and dear family friends.

She was fondly called "Mary Sunshine" due to her sunny disposition, her ability to "light up a room" with her conversation, laughter and cheerful personality. She loved her family, little children, her home, chocolate and sunsets.

Her family wishes to thank the Forum at Brookside staff for the exceptional care and abundant affection she received during the last eleven months of her life.. They also wish to thank her physician of many years, Dr. Mary Barry, whom she dearly loved and in whom she put all of her trust.

A family celebration of her life was held at Evergreen Cemetery.
