Mary Catherine (Katy) Sangalli, 92, of Louisville, KY passed away peacefully on the night of August 6, 2025 at 11:56 PM. She was born in Louisville, KY on December 10, 1932 to Newman and Catherine Kohl. Katy attended Saint Loretta High School before proudly working for the Telephone Company, then Steel Fabricators. She was an active member of her local Astrology Club for many years.
Katy was preceded in death by her husband, Delano (Sam) Sangalli, her sister, Dorothy (Dotty) Irby, and her parents, Newman and Catherine Kohl.
She is survived by her two sons, Paul Sangalli and Thomas Sangalli, 2 granddaughters, Sarah DiChiara (Ryan), and Katherine (Brooke) Sangalli, a great grandson, Emmett Kohl DiChiara, and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home 4400 Bardstown Road Louisville, Kentucky 40218 on Thursday, August 14, 2025 from 3-7PM. A funeral service will be the following day on
Friday, August 15, 2025 @ 10AM in the funeral home chapel. Katy will be laid to rest in Resthaven Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers donations in Katy's honor can be to the Nazareth Home.
