Mary Edmonia Tyler

Mary Edmonia "Aunt Billie" Tyler, 92, of Louisville, passed away January 5, 2013. She was the daughter of the late James H. "Ike" and Julia Mae Stewart. She took great pride in her role as President of the Residents Council at Golden Living Center St. Matthews, where she strongly advocated for residents' needs. She greatly impacted many lives in her role as aunt. She was a compassionate friend to many. Her hobbies and interests included flower gardening and raising dogs. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Sterling Jenkins and William "Bill" Tyler, Sr.; and sisters, Neola Brooks and Lee Mullen. She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Sharon Zibart, Patsy Scott(Mike), Barbara Mullen, Carol Mullen, Debbie Bocko, Kevin Mullen(Sally), and Rob Mullen(Kathy); 15 great nieces and nephews; and 5 great great nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 10am Wednesday at O.D. White & Sons Funeral Home with burial in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8pm Tuesday. Memorial gifts can be made to the Trinity High School Foundation, tuition aid fund.
