Maudie Belle Montgomery, 91, of Greenwood, Indiana passed away September 4, 2015 at Greenwood Meadows Nursing Home. She was born on January 7,1924 in Pitts Point, Kentucky to the late William and Carrie Druin.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Newman Montgomery Sr. and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her children, Mary Catherine McMillen (Donny), Loyce L. Williams (Michael), Newman T. Montgomery Jr. (Grace) and Connie L. Bowers (Daniel); four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and a sister, Anna Mae Thomasson.
A service to celebrate her life will be conducted Thursday, September 10, 2015 at Noon at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road with burial in Penn Run Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 on Wednesday and from 10-12 on Thursday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association.
