Soft spoken, kind to others, loyal wife and loving mother! Thats what I’ll remember about Mavis Garrett!

“Life and Death work hand in hand in this World! We don’t choose where or when we are born into existance! Nor do we choose our time of passing through this world! But we do get to choose how we live our life with the time we have and THOSE choices are what define us!”

I believe Mavis made excellant choices in her life! Anyone that was privileged to know her can tell you she made a difference in all of us!

May the Light you brought into this world carry over into the next, shinning even brighter than before!

I am so saddened by the news of Mavis' passing. She was one of the most caring, loving, and kind people I have worked with and remained friends after retirement. I will miss seeing her and talking with her. You are with Buford again.

Mavis was so special to me. I have many memories, however in the last couple of years it was getting to go to Derby Dinner, Chonda Pierce, Karen Kingsbury , and sharing books But most of all was game night at her house with Mavis and Susan and anyone else that was there and wanted to play. (Even though I lost the majority of the time lol). Mexican Train , 10,000, and shaghi Rummy will never be the same. I'm going to miss you, your comfort and encouragement. Til we meet again...
