Maxie Mae Holland

Maxie Mae Holland, 93, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on December 6, 2022. Maxie was a down home country gal from Wheatcroft, Kentucky with a sassy flare. She loved family gatherings especially games and cards. She always gave us the unfiltered truth and spirited advice. She enjoyed her time at Churchill Downs betting on the ponies. She enjoyed dancing and music. She always lived her life to the fullest and was the life of any and every party. She valued her time spent with her friends at McDonalds and Wendy's. She loved her food and desserts. She will be deeply missed by her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cordie and Henry Sutherland, her brothers, Charles, Ed and Richard Sutherland, her son, Kevin Baron (Kathy) and her late husband, James "Kinky" Holland.

She leaves behind the following family members to cherish her memories. Her children, Tonia Gregory (Ken) and Ricky Etheridge (Sharon), her grandchildren, Kim Crowe (Scott), Shawn Fitts (Kelly), Heather Lewis (Jeff), Kellee Etheridge (Dirk), Katrina Smither (Jeremy), Brooke Johnson, Dylan and Billy (Clisel) Craven, her great-grandchildren, Kaylae Price (Derrick), Charles Ryan Yocum, Bryan Austin Yocum, Bryanna Jewel Woolsey, Payton Dennison, Brantley Fitts, David and Ryan Holscher, Chelsea Smither, Kelly and Dominic Johnson, Tommy and Russell Craven, her great-great-grandchildren, Ashton, Addison and Aiden Price.

Visitation will be held at Heady-Hardy Funeral Home, 7710 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY from 2-8 on Monday, December 12, 2022. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at 12pm with her final resting place at Evergreen Cemetery.

The family would like to thank Hospice Inpatient Care Center for their caring and compassion in her time of need.
