He was a retired loss control engineer for Cincinnati Insurance Company and a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jeanne Kannapel; and a brother, Gilbert Kannapel.
He is survived by his wife, Julia; loving children, Beth Wise and Gregory Kannapel (Michelle); a brother, Thomas Kannapel (Jan); and four grandchildren.
His Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, October 22, 2010 at 7 p.m. at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Chapel, 4400 Bardstown Road, with burial in Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until time of his service on Friday. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
