Michael (Mike) David Perkins, 67 years old, of Shepherdsville KY, a man who loved the steady rhythm of the river, boarded his final boat peacefully on Sunday, 18th on October 2026, surrounded by his loved ones.
Though he has sailed out of sight, the memories he left behind will be anchored in our hearts forever. We take comfort in knowing he is navigating smooth, endless waters ahead, free of pain.
Michael is preceded in death by his mother, Norma M. Yost of Louisville, KY; his father, John T. Perkins, of Columbia County, Ohio; his sister, Linda M. Harian; and his brother, Tobin T. Perkins Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Larkin Perkins; his sister, Nancy J Eastman; his daughter, Ashley Taylor Perkins, and son, Andrew Chase Perkins.
Mike will also be very missed by his closest friend and brother, Glen A Weissrock and adopted Mother Carol F Weissrock.
Celebration of Life to honor Michael will be 2pm Saturday, Oct. 24, 2026, at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY 40218.
