PORTER, MICHAEL DAVID, 44, of Hattiesburg, MS, formerly of Louisville, passed from this life on Thursday October 23, 2008 in Pascagoula, MS. He was employed by Atlantic Richfield and was a Marine Corps veteran. He is survived by his wife, Linda Bell Porter; his children, Brittany and Brooke Porter; his mother, Beverly Ann Porter and father, James Edward Porter Sr.; sister, Valerie Goodwin-McGlasson; and brothers, James Edward Porter Jr. and Matthew and Bradley Porter. A celebration of Michael's life will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Southern Home of Arch L. Heady & Son, 3601 Taylor Blvd., with burial to follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Monday.
