Mike was veteran of the KY Air National Guard and retired after many years of service from the Jefferson County Sheriffs Department. He was a longtime member of the Kentucky Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association and a State Lobbyist for the Jefferson County Sheriffs FOP Lodge 25. Mike was also a member of Saint Stephen Martyr Catholic Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Henry W. Richardson.
Mike left behind to cherish his memory his mother, Imelda Richardson; brothers, Phil Richardson and Ronnie Richardson; niece, Megan Richardson and nephew, Jamie Richardson.
A service honoring the life of Mike will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at Saint Stephen Martyr Catholic Church, 2931 Pendell Ave. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at Evergreen Funeral Home.
