

Michael Durand Strong passed away February 22, 2026. He was born October 8, 1948, in Louisville, KY. He was the son of Ruby and Moss Strong. Mike grew up in Okolona; graduated from Southern High School and University of Louisville where he met his wife of 54 years, Linda Robinson.
He lived most of his adult life in South Louisville then moved to Shepherdsville. He enjoyed his work as an insurance adjuster and his time as an investigator for various law firms.
Mike was an avid hunter and fisherman making annual trips to Canada, Louisiana and Kansas. His dogs Samantha, Roxie and Bear often accompanied him. He had just gotten a new puppy, Ranger, and was looking forward to training him to hunt.
Mike loved the outdoors and had many friends with whom he shared his adventures. He always had a story or joke to tell or a prank to play. He enjoyed his time with friends and family and sharing new experiences with them. With Mike, where he went, joy and laughter followed. He was a member of Okolona Baptist Church, Ducks Unlimited of Louisville, Jefferson Gun Club, Pheasants Forever, NRA Lifetime Member and Coots, Carp, and Bogtrotters Association.
He is survived by his wife Linda, sister Shelly (Jimmy), nephews Joe Nevins (Raven), Jeff Snyder (Lisa) and nieces Tammy Luhrsen (Jeff) and Lisa Egbert (Jeff). He has many great nieces and nephews and great friends.
He was and always will be everybody's Uncle Mike.

Visitation will be held at Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Services, located at 8519 Preston Highway, Louisville, KY, 40219-5390, on March 3, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
The funeral service will take place at the same venue on March 4, 2026, from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm, with a short visitation beforehand starting at 11:30am.
