Mildred Ann Booth, 74, of Louisville, passed away August 13, 2018. She was a parishioner of Guardian Angels Catholic Church and worked as a hairdresser for over 50 years. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Booth; mother, Maude Booth; stepmother, Esther Booth; and brother, George Booth. Mildred is survived by her sister, Inez Horn (Jerry), niece, Monica Turner (Kim Wagoner); nephew, Michael Horn (Kim); her great-nieces and great-nephews; stepbrothers, George Poole (Brenda) and Max Poole; and stepsister, Patti Compton(Richard).
Millie was a woman of great faith, immense love, and keen wit. She cared deeply for all of God’s creatures, from the squirrels that visited her porch to the various family pets that she spoiled at every possible occasion. A skilled artist and craftswoman, Millie enjoyed making and sharing her work with others. She will be remembered fondly for unfailingly punctual birthday cards and her impressive reserve of funny sayings. For her family and friends, Millie was a model of generosity and a reminder that life is best approached with good humor, an abiding care for others, and a nice cup of coffee.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10am, Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 6000 Preston Hwy, Louisville, KY with interment in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation hours will be held from 2-8 pm Friday, August 17, 2018 at Evergreen Funeral Home. Memorial donations can be made to Hosparus Health or the Kentucky Humane Society.
