Preceded in death by her parents Guy and Rose VanTrease and her sister Janice VanTrease; stepdaughter Brenda Ralston, Mildred is survived by her adoring husband of 52 years, Bobby Bruner; her brother Guy "Sonny" VanTrease (Frances); stepson Steven Bruner (Theresa); granddaughter Kristie Kane; great-grandchildren Morgan Higdon and Mason Kane; and close family friend Grace Patterson.
Mildred was very passionate about being a seamstress. As some would say, she was the best bridal gown seamstress in all of Kentucky! She was also a wonderful cook and entertainer. She was a member of Jeffersontown Methodist Church.
A visitation for Mildred will be held Thursday, May 22, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven, 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, Kentucky 40218, followed by a funeral service at 10:00 AM. Mildred will be laid to rest in Resthaven Memorial Park.
