

Mildred Ann Fischer Carlson was born May 13, 1924 to parents Christian Fischer and Ruby McWaters Fischer in Sheboygan, WI. At an early age Mildred (Millie) along with her parents moved to Crookston, MN where she attended school. Upon graduation she moved to Minneapolis, MN. Millie worked in the jewelry industry for over 35 years. She married Warren H. Carlson in Crookston on February 22, 1947. They lived in Minneapolis. Warren passed away in 1989. In 1998 she moved to East Grand Forks, MN.
She and Warren had one son, Richard. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Jennifer; grandsons Ricky and Jeffrey; granddaughter-in-law Sherry, all of Louisville, KY.; sisters, Dorothy Sell of St. Paul, MN, Donna Hoff of East Grand Forks, MN; brother, Richard Fischer of St. Paul, MN.; great grandchildren, Sara Carlson, Jasmine Carlson and Blaze Abner.
Millie was preceded in death by her husband, parents and a sister, Elizabeth Lillienthal.
She was a member of Crosstown Covenant Church of Minneapolis for over 50 years, held an allied membership at Mendenhall Presbyterian Church of East Grand Forks, MN, and currently the Okolona Christian Church.
Funeral service 12:00 p.m. Tuesday at Arch L. Heady-Okolona Home 8519 Preston Hwy. Visitation at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00- 8:00 p.m.
