Mildred Rose Gahafer

She was born July 19, 1934, in Louisville, to the late Thomas and Lona Minogue. She was a member of St. Leonard Catholic Church.

Mildred is preceded in death by her husband, George L. Gahafer, Jr. her parents, Thomas and Lona (Green) Minogue, and grandson, Devin L. Craven.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Gail Parker; Leo Gahafer (Carol); David Gahafer (Cindy); Joyce Woods (Phil); and Neil Gahafer; 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the Baptist Health Louisville Palliative Care Unit, for their compassionate care.

A celebration of life mass will be conducted at 10:00 AM Monday, April 6, 2015 at St. Leonard Catholic Church, 440 Zorn Ave. Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held from 12-8 PM on Friday and 12-8 PM on Saturday at Arch L. Heady and Son at Westport Village, 7410 Westport Rd.

Expressions of sympathy may be given to the American Heart Association, Alzheimer’s Association or the Kentucky Humane Society.
